When you enter Maleny, the location sign says, “Discover the magic of Maleny”, and yet on this day, I feel like it should’ve read, “If you want to Discover the Magic of Maleny, head over to witness the marriage of David and Kristen.

There could’ve been rain, hail or snow and this moment still would’ve been the most picturesque to ever exist. However, I think the magic of Maleny comes in the form of the couples who run away to be married here. Kristen and David did not need to be told to be in the moment.

They simply were two people together, watching the sun go down with nothing else in mind except their first sunset as Husband and Wife. It was honestly like us photographers and videographers didn’t exist. That’s how it should be.
